There’s more news on your local station than ever, and when stations add newscasts they don’t add much staff. The newsroom that once did shows at six and eleven now does ninety minutes in the afternoon plus its late news — some even do a 10pm show in addition to the eleven. On top of that, add web and social media duties. That stuff doesn’t happen by itself.
I guess we can’t blame people for not re-writing some dumb story about ice cream, can we?
