People: I need your help in making me the Detroit Lions of local bloggers!
Please go to the Times Union’s Worst of the Capital Region ballot and vote for me under the category Worst Local Blog. Â You can just enter my name, or type in Man of a Certain Age. Or even The Dog Poop Guy. As long as they know it’s me, it counts as a vote. It takes about five minutes to complete the entire ballot.
Some of you find it distasteful to use this space to drum up votes for an inane contest. Oh, please.
Anyway, be sure to vote, because if anybody should be named the worst it’s me. And I’m counting on all you On the Edge people to finally give me the credit I most richly deserve.
Please remember, I am just an amateur. If it were my job to write a blog, I could do much better at cultivating the disdain of my audience.
I just did the form and there was no category for that! I couldn’t have voted for you anyways. Those honors have to go to Amanda “Manders” Talar
My hat’s in the ring. Thanks, Rob, for the tip on how to do it. Sorry – but not too. lol
damn. saw the headline and thought i really could vote you for worst (ie most annoying) blogger… or kevin marshall… at any rate, happy april first 🙂
Sorry Rob. My choice is Naomi Seldin.
The winning certificate will add clutter
to her life.
@Teddy R: Not if it’s virtual. Thanks for your vote, though!
Ew, who is calling me “Manders” – what are you, Marlon? 😀
Sorry, not the worst blog on the TU site, can’t help you out. And why do they need my address, phone number, SSN, and blood type to complete this form ?
NGD: To paraphrase a famous line from The Producers, where did I go right?
You’re not kidding about that form. Talk about discouraging people from participation. It must have been borrowed from the “Best Of,” where they want to try limiting voting to serious participants.
It will be interesting to see if there’s widespread lobbying once that hits the streets…
If you guys really think me, Rob, Amanda, or Naomi have the worst blogs on this site, then you clearly have not read more than five or six of the blogs on this site.
There are a few stinkers, but those are mostly those City Brights folks who never post.
By the way, here’s some good news: we heard from Ed Dague today on his blog. Hopefully he’ll be back with us at some point.

Hey, do we have a category for Commenters Whose Personal Lives Are So Unfulfilling They Talk S*** at Women Bloggers Online?
